| (2 cr.) This course introduces prospective physical
therapy students to the many topics and issues
relevant to the physical therapy profession.
Students explore the many roles of the American
Physical Therapy Association, practice issues,
professional skills and behaviors, including the
profession's code of ethics and standards of
practice. The role of the physical therapist in
both the health care system and the community is
discussed. Students also are introduced to the
medical record, documentation and medical
terminology.
