| (3 cr.) This course is designed for political science
majors in their junior year. Students examine the
culture of inquiry as a problem-solving discipline
and contribute toward political understanding
through multiple reading, thinking and writing
exercises. Course material focuses on current
issues in politics and government and asks how
political scientists might respond to these
issues. The course emphasizes theory development
and hypothesis formation; various methodological
approaches; and several sub-disciplinary
perspectives within political science.
For political science majors only. Junior status
is required.
