BMS 378 - Vaccines and Vaccine Preventable Diseases
 
(4 cr.) This advanced immunology course covers vaccines and vaccine preventable diseases. Students examine and discuss the current understanding of vaccinations, as well as the historical and current implication of VPDs. By the end of the semester, the student should be able to learn how vaccines work, how they are made, who recommends vaccines, when they should be given, if they are still necessary, and most importantly, if they are safe.
