IB 201 - (UC) Globalization and International Business
 
(3 cr.) This course introduces students to issues concerning globalization and international business. Students examine the critical role of foreign exchange, international trade and international investment, as well as the impact of multinational corporations on the globalization process. The role of the business community in reducing the negative effects of globalization while at the same time availing itself of its benefits is considered. Global issues such as poverty, economic development and education, and the formulation of sustainable, environmentally-friendly development strategies are addressed.
