CHE 210 - Organic Chemistry I
 
(3 cr.) This course presents a comprehensive study of the principles that govern the properties, reactions and methods of preparation of organic compounds correlated with reaction mechanisms, stereochemistry, conformational analysis, resonance and transition state theory as well as nomenclature of organic compounds. Specific groups covered are alkanes, alkyl halides, alkenes and alkynes. Must be taken in conjunction with CHE 210L. Prerequisite: CHE 111, CHE 111L; Minimum grade C-; Every Year, Fall and Summer
