goals, which are tailored to appeal to defined
audiences. Media can be designed to entertain, to
inform, to educate, to persuade or to sell. In
this junior-level course, students are challenged
to discern what makes a good story or project idea

Students work through all phases of production as
they complete a series of projects during the
semester, with special emphasis on creative
conceptualization, message and writing.
