About
Dr. Richard McCarthy is a professor of Information Systems Management in the School of Business. He is also the interim associate dean of the School of Business. He serves as the secretary of the board of directors of the International Association of Computer Information Systems, a Program Evaluator for information systems programs for ABET, and is on the editoral board of the Journal of Computer Information Systems, The Learning Organization, and the Journal of International Technology and Information Management. He also serves as the faculty advisor to the School of Business Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma and Alpha Iota Mu. He is active in information systems research, particulalry in the area of enterprise architecture and has authored numerous textbook supplements. He started his teaching career eight years ago, prior to that he worked in information technology management in the insurance industry for nearly twenty years, earning his CPCU desgnation in 1991.
