C.A. Cranos is a strategy consultant with an expertise in innovation, technology and organizational transformation. She teaches in three colleges at Quinnipiac University (Business, Communications, Arts & Sciences) at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Initially engaged at Quinnipiac as a member of the School of Business Advisory Board, she found her true passion working with students and faculty. She has developed new courses on topics ranging from leadership to the global environment, creating experiences students describe as unconventional, innovative and engaging. At Quinnipiac she has been awarded several grants for innovation using technology, and was named an SOTL Faculty Scholar. She has presented at a number of academic conferences on different teaching pedagogies, including the use of social media to drive learning outcomes in higher education.

Leadership In America This course examines the concept of American Community with a focus on demography, media and politics. The goal is to help students interpret, challenge and develop views on issues pertinent to America's future. The course goes beyond traditional boundaries utilizing discussion, optional excursions and new media to dig deep into current and emergent American issues substantively, from multiple lenses, using a range of problem solving skills. Global Community This course explores the concept of Global Community and how cultures interact, make decisions, interpret and recount history. It utilizes a range of books and films that deal with geopolitics, global dynamics and current affairs. Ms. Cranos brings extensive experience from working and living around the world to illuminate issues covered in course. The course looks at how the global economy works and how students can play powerful roles in it. The class includes a month-long “virtual world tour” where students experience 13 global cities.
