About

Rebecca Abbott is Professor of Communication at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut, and an independent film producer, director and editor. Her professional credits include award-winning videos, which have been shown on public television, in national and international film festivals. Her most recent works include the Emmy Award winning Albert Schweitzer: My Life is My Argument, about the life of humanitarian Albert Schweitzer, and the documentary No Unwounded Soldiers, about the impact of war on veterans. Abbott majored in visual studies at Dartmouth College, received an MFA in filmmaking from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and an MA in American Studies from Yale University. She worked at Bennington College in Vermont and Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut before moving to Quinnipiac in 1999.
