My research is primarily on spoken word recognition and speech perception. However, my academic interests are considerably broader. I am fascinated by theories of consciousness, evolution of cognitive abilities, 'artificial' intelligence, and cognitive science in general.
I have taught a wide range of courses including Introduction to Psychology, Cognition, Sensation and Perception, Experimental Psychology, History and Systems of Psychology, Psycholinguistics, and Cognitive Science and Science Fiction.
