As a student at Quinnipiac, you'll take challenging courses that will help you develop into a lifelong learner. The Learning Center is important to the process and should be part of every student's experience. We believe each student is an individual, bringing both strengths and weaknesses to any academic challenge.  We also believe that intentional, active learning requires reflection. As a result, all of our programs are developed toward offering students many chances to reflect on not only what they are studying, but also how they are studying it.

The Learning Center offers two broad categories of support, defined by the way students interact with us:

One-on-one services include:
  • Our nationally certified peer tutoring program, which provides expert assistance from students who have excelled in the exact courses you are taking
  • Individual academic counseling, which puts you in direct contact with a learning professional to develop a personalized action plan for learning improvement
  • Services for students with documented disabilities, which are provided by our coordinator of learning services.
Group services include:
  • Our peer fellow group study program, which supplements classroom instruction with weekly sessions led by an expert student in the class
  • Learning skills seminars, which are twice-weekly workshops that address topics like time management, reading and annotation skills, and learning styles
  • Learning skills pamphlets and online learning skills assessments (available when you come to campus) to help you get started on your own.
