(2 cr.) The course reflects on the Western Legal Tradition and what the practice of law and being a lawyer has entailed in the course of history. The course focuses on legal history, law and literature and popular culture and legal philosophy in historical context. It is an advanced writing seminar that explores topics related to literature and the law in historical context. Themes of law, justice, and ehtics will be examined in the works of authors such as Sophocles, Shakespeare, Austen, Eliot, Wharton, Camus, and Faulkner. Every Year, All
