HS 227 - Russian Cultural and Intellectual History
 
(3 cr.) Students are introduced to changing concepts of authority and the role of reason in the ordering of social and cultural values, the cultural mission of Russian Orthodoxy, the growth of a secular cultural elite, and the modern struggle to define individual and community and values in literature. This course includes readings in Russian thought and literature. Prerequisite: one course from HS level 100; Every Other Year
