HS 324 - History of England to 1688
 
(3 cr.) This course examines some of the major political, constitutional, religious and social aspects of English history from the period of the Roman occupation to the glorious revolution. Themes include: the evolution of kingship and government, the common law and the courts, the history of the church and the break with Rome, the development of agriculture and commerce, English overseas expansion, and the emergence of democracy.
