LAWS 345 - Health Law
 
(2 cr.) This introductory course is recommended for students interested in the major state and federal legal and policy issues governing health care, particularly the Affordable Care Act. The course focuses on how the law impacts health care access, quality, and costs together with topics such as the patient-provider relationship, and private and public insurance regulation. Students will study how to counsel health care clients on dealing with the impact of legislation, regulation, administrative agencies, and case law. This course is cross listed for the Health Care Compliance Certificate (offered in conjunction with the School of Business) and the Scholarly Reflection and Concentration/Capstone Course at the Frank H.
