EN 204 - Critical Theory and Practice
(3 cr.) This course introduces students to how literature is studied in the discipline of English. Elementary concepts of literary and critical theory are discussed with reference to both literature and scholarly criticism. Attention is paid to writing and researching in the discipline in an effort to prepare students for upper-division courses and the Senior Seminar. Course should be taken in sophomore or junior year.
