BIO 329 - Neurobiology
 
(3 cr.) This course is an introduction to molecular, cellular and organismal neuroscience. After exploring basic topics including electrical excitability, neurotransmitters and receptors, the course considers higher-level integrated systems such as the sensory systems. Human disorders, including Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis and color-blindness are discussed to highlight the importance of proper functioning of the various components of the nervous system.
