BIO 541 - Evolution
(4 cr.) This course examines the mechanisms of evolutionary change and surveys the evolutionary and phylogenetic history of life on earth. Because evolution is often a focus of social debate about ways of knowing and about the nature of humanity, students also explore the history of this debate and its influence on society. Lastly, because this course is intended to provide training for teachers, students review new insights about How People Know and how to teach science so that students learn with understanding.
