PT 590 - Introduction to Physical Therapy Research
 
(2 cr.) This course provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to read, analyze and critique physical therapy research. Additionally, students are provided with the necessary skills to develop their own research proposals. The following topics are covered: developing research (research problem, literature review, proposal and ethics), roots of research (quantification in research, nonexperimental research, confidence in research and instruments, experimental research and designs), hypothesis testing (parametric and nonparametric tests), and revealing research (reporting).
