RS 473 - Breast Sonography
 
(3 cr.) This course is geared toward students who are pursuing breast certification by the ARRT or the ARDMS. Students gain a thorough understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the breast, as well as the normal and abnormal sonographic appearance of breast tissue. Students have an opportunity to utilize ultrasound equipment to learn to identify sonographic anatomy of the breast and develop scanning techniques. Prerequisite: registered radiologic technologists with the ARRT or medical sonography students, who have successfully completed RS 320. Exceptions require permission of the department.
