CER 440 - Introduction to Power and Energy Systems
 
(3 cr.) This course includes an overview of power generation and distribution systems. Students focus on civil and environmental engineering issues as they pertain to power systems. They also learn additional basic-level skills in electrical engineering that enable them to solve straightforward generation and distribution problems. Topics include: the relationship between water and energy, environmental implications of power generation, air quality monitoring, stationary source control, residuals management and current public policy issues related to these systems. Prerequisite: PHY 122; Every Year, Spring
