SER 350 - Software Project Management
(3 cr.) This course covers the basics of project planning, including cost estimation and scheduling. Topics include project management tools, productivity metrics and other factors influencing productivity and success. Students learn to analyze options and risks, as well as how to manage expectations and plan for change. Additional topics include release and configuration management, software process standards and process implementation, software contracts and intellectual property. Students review different approaches to maintenance and long-term software development and discuss case studies of real industrial projects. Prerequisite: SER 330; Minimum grade C-; Every Year, Fall
