SW 605 - Integrative Seminar/Capstone Project
 
(2 cr.) This course is usually taken in the final semester of the MSW program. A paper or final project (approved by the instructor) is required to demonstrate an integration of all content areas in the MSW program and competence in the CSWE standards. Students focus on the systematic inquiry of the foundations of advanced practice in the social work profession. An emphasis is on the assessment, planning and evaluation of population/community focused health promotion/disease prevention programs and projects. This capstone course helps the graduating student integrate course and field experiences through review and exploration of the broader issues confronting health and social welfare programs.
