PT 744 - Manual Therapy/PT Skills Elective
(2 cr.) This is a required manual therapy skills course in which students can choose a specific section for concentration. All participants are first introduced to lymphatic drainage. Students then select a manual technique section. Option #1, the Mulligan concept of mobilization with movement as it applies to the spine and extremities, serves as one of the preparatory courses to sit for the National Mulligan Clinical Examination. Option #2, the manual therapy approach to musculoskeletal and neuromuscular dysfunction, includes the theoretical rationale for treatment based on specific examination and intervention techniques including myofascial release and craniosacral therapy.
