HS 380 - Historic Preservation
 
(3 cr.) This introductory course in the interdisciplinary field of historic preservation aims to equip students with fundamental insight on how to handle and curate architecture, cultural landscapes and other forms of material culture in light of the principal methods, theories and philosophies (historic, social, cultural, technological and economic) that inform historic preservation practice. In sum, the course instructs students in the primary language, issues and research skills of historic preservation. Prerequisite: one course from HS level 200; Every Other Year, Spring
