EN 377 - Faulkner and Literature Between the Wars
 
(3 cr.) Readings by Langston Hughes, T.S. Eliot, Anderson and Hemingway are followed by extensive structural and thematic analysis of Faulkner's major writings. The course includes close reading of the texts and consideration of problems raised by various critical approaches. Novels include The Unvanquished, As I Lay Dying, Light in August, and Go Down, Moses. Prerequisite: one course from EN level 200; Every Other Year, Spring
