An English teacher since 1976, I began teaching as an Adjunct Instructor in First-Year Writing in the fall of '99 and have been teaching in that program each semester since then. In the summer of '03 I was hired full time in Academic Technology as an instructional technologist responsible for the College of Liberal Arts and the School of Communications. In this job I get to work with faculty to discover how best to use technology to improve learning outcomes. Presently Academic Technology does not have specific territory, but I find that most of my clients still come from Liberal Arts, though our office is now in North Haven. I live in West Simsbury, CT with my wife Donna and children, Erica, (QU 2010, MAT 2013) who is currently teaching second grade at Brass City Charter School in Waterbury, and Ethan currently a part-time engineering student and STAR.
