Filippo Naitana holds a laurea in history from the University of Florence (Italy) and a Ph.D. in Italian studies from Yale University. He teaches courses in Italian language and culture, as well as seminars such as QU301 for the Honors Program, where he also serves on the Faculty Advisory Committee. Naitana's research interests include Dante and the classical tradition, the Renaissance in a Mediterranean context, and the Italian discovery of American modernism. His work has been published in journals such as Dante Studies, Quaderni medievali and Archivio storico italiano.
