I first started teaching in the Department of Sociology at Quinnipiac in 1980 and have watched as our small college has become a thriving university. With a B.A. (University of Pennsylvania), M.A. (Cornell), and PhD (Cornell) in the discipline of Sociology, my teaching and research interests focus on the family, aging, social policy, and demography. My goal as a teacher is to offer students knowledge that they can use to critically and thoughtfully understand the world around them.
