In the School of Education, we work closely with all of our candidates on career preparation. We offer resume writing and interview workshops to assist you in your job searches. For our teacher candidates, we host an "interview training" evening where 50 local administrators provide feedback to teacher candidates about their interviewing skills. At this event, students dress professionally; present their resumes and each meet with three administrators.

In addition, two certification nights assist all teacher candidates filling out their CSDE paperwork and gathering all necessary documents and PRAXIS score reports. Both our educational leadership and teacher candidates receive personal attention from our associate dean who completes and files all the required documents for Connecticut certification.

Recent graduates have obtained teaching and leadership jobs in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Colorado, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Wisconsin and Vermont. Some graduates choose to pursue graduate studies at the doctoral level.
