| (3 cr.) This course explores how learning theory and
philosophy are linked to the teaching-learning
process. Students investigate elementary
curricula and ways teachers plan units, lessons
and assessment of learning to meet the learning
needs and styles of their pupils. National
elementary curriculum benchmarks from learned
societies are used to reflect upon the content
and appropriate learning opportunities in grades
K-6 elementary classrooms. Students prepare
units, lessons and assessment activities.
