The facility, which opened in 2009, includes 12 classrooms; 16 seminar rooms and team-study rooms; 24 teaching labs; a model apartment to teach students how to provide care in residential settings; a SimMan suite of life-size patient simulators; and a pediatric and neonatal lab. It also boasts cutting-edge equipment, including magnetic resonance simulators and 3-D workstations.
The building has a full-service dining hall featuring hot entrée choices, sandwiches, salads, soups, to-go snacks and coffee. The cafeteria includes dining tables and a lounge area overlooking a pond.
For students' convenience, the registrar, bursar and the bookstore also have a presence here. It is equipped with the wireless campus network. The building features a Health Sciences Library, which is part of the Arnold Bernhard Library. In addition to complete access to the Bernhard Library collection, the Health Sciences collection contains 75 core print journals and more than 700 books selected to support the programs at North Haven.
