The Center on Dispute Resolution has provided research and other support to two groups charged with examining the use of ADR in the state and federal court systems. The Connecticut Bar Association Standing Committee on Dispute Resolution in the Courts has, with the center's assistance, been working to develop recommendations and proposals to enhance the use of ADR in Connecticut state courts. The Advisory Committee on the Connecticut U.S. District Court's Dispute Resolution Plan has similarly been working to consider and make recommendations on goals and characteristics of a formal ADR plan to implement the Federal ADR Act. Center staff serve as members of and academic advisors to these groups, while Quinnipiac law students have performed legal and historical research and analysis.
