LAWS 587 - Disability Law
 
(2 cr.) This course focuses on The Americans with Disabilities Act, including its sections prohibiting disability discrimination in the workplace, in public accommodations and in state and local government services. The course explores the key elements of the law, including the definition of disability, reasonable accommodations, undue hardship and the direct threat defense. The course also examines the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and Federal Rehabilitation Act.
