HM 646 - Law and Medicine
 
(3 cr.) The basic introductory course for students interested in law and medicine, this course will cover the legal regulation of the medical profession in such areas as medical education, physician licensure and disciplinary proceedings, hospital organization, alternative structures for providing health care, efforts to control health care costs, the control of drugs and medical devices by the Federal Food and Drug Administration, and the Statutory Regulation of Medical Malpractice Actions. This course is graded on a pass/fail basis. As Needed
