Brad Saxton, the dean of the law school, came to Quinnipiac in 2002 from the University of Wyoming School of Law, where he was a professor of law and the associate dean. Before that, he clerked for the United States District Court in Washington, D.C., and then worked at Hogan & Hartson, a major law firm headquartered in Washington. In addition to his duties as dean at Quinnipiac, he continues to teach a torts class each year and to engage in research and publication aimed at improving the functioning of the jury system in American courts. Outside the classroom, Dean Saxton’s interests include cycling, reading, and gourmet cooking. One of the most popular items at the law school’s annual PILP auction (which raises money for students working in public-interest summer jobs) is the five-course gourmet dinner for six students at the Saxton home.
