About
Sara V. Spodick, staff attorney and acting director of the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic, joined the School of Law faculty in 2004. She teaches tax clinic courses. She is interested in the public policy that shapes the Internal Revenue Code and the use of the Internal Revenue Service to administer social programs. Her two most recent publications concerned diminished capacity and the client-lawyer relationship and enforced IRS collection. Before coming to the School of Law, she was an associate at Reiner, Reiner & Bendett in Farmington, Connecticut. She also represented corporate creditors in Connecticut Superior Court and Federal Bankruptcy Court. She is a board member of the Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Haven, and she works with a Labrador retriever rescue group and collects autographs and classic movie posters.
