Environmental Law Society

The Environmental Law Society provides students with the opportunity to explore this specialized area of the law outside the classroom. The society offers a balanced approach to environmental law, with many members interested in corporate practice and others interested in public, nonprofit or government service.

The Society is committed to:

  • Promoting within the law school community a knowledge of, and respect for, environmental issues which face society, the nation and the planet
  • Providing academic and professional support to students seeking a career in environmental law
  • Providing volunteer time, effort and funding to area communities to promote environmental awareness.

Recent activities include participation in area beach clean-up projects and various Earth Day events.
