Primary Care Scholarship

Purpose: To identify and nurture the interest of first year medical students who wish to pursue a career in primary care (pediatrics, family medicine, or general internal medicine). This scholarship is renewable up to four years.

Scholarship Requirements: To apply for this scholarship, applicants must:
  • Have been accepted to the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine and matriculate in Fall 2014
  • Have submitted the 2014-2015 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • submitted the 2014-2015 Need Access Application
  • Have demonstrated academic excellence and dedication to pursuing a career as a primary care physician
  • Write an essay detailing how your past experiences have cultivated your aspirations toward becoming a primary care physician. 
Award Amount:  up to $18,000 annually

Application deadline: February 28, 2014 or within two-weeks after the receipt of your acceptance to the medical school if admitted after Feb. 15, 2014. All award decisions will be made no later than May 1, 2014.
