SchedulingFlexible Academic Schedules and Programs
Many part-time students like to take courses on a full semester (15-week) and choose traditional undergraduate majors. We offer these students an array of day and evening courses "on campus." The University also offers a other options to meet your special needs.
Accelerated courses may allow you to shorten the path to your degree by completing some core requirements more rapidly. A limited number of accelerated courses are offered at Quinnipiac in seven-week periods in the evenings or on Saturdays during the fall and spring semesters. Our two summer sessions are offered in a five-week format.
Saturday classes may be an option for some students. Most Saturday classes are scheduled at the University from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. during the fall and spring semesters.
Part-time students may pursue study during the day (before 5 p.m.). For a course schedule, please call the Part-time Admissions office at 203-582-8612.
Individualized Degree Programs
Many part-time students who return to college already have a substantial amount of college credit. In addition, experienced adult students often have unique educational goals that are not met by traditional degree programs. The Individualized Degree Programs at the University can meet these needs by offering you:
- maximum flexibility in the transfer of previously acquired credit
- maximum flexibility in choosing courses to meet your individual needs without adding to the total number of credits needed to graduate
Do you have an interest in or a need to learn about a specific topic that is not covered in a course offered by Quinnipiac University? The independent study option gives you the opportunity to work individually with a faculty member on a topic of mutual interest.
