| (3 cr.) This course, an introduction to the field of
human resource management, introduces students to
the principles, policies and practices related to
the procurement, development, maintenance and
utilization of human resources. Topics include:
employment law, equal employment opportunity,
human resource planning, recruitment, selection,
career development, performance appraisal,
compensation and benefits, employee rights and
discipline, safety, labor relations and
collective bargaining.
