| (3 cr.) This course introduces students to the
instructional methods and curricular materials
used to enhance the instruction of mathematics in
grades 4-6. Students learn to develop lesson plans
and assessment methods that positively affect the
learning of mathematics in grades 4-6. Students
are required to apply this knowledge within their
field placement to better understand the
relationship of theory and practice in the
instruction of mathematics in the upper elementary
grades.
