Sloan Consortium  - online workshops for faculty and staff who are interested in acquiring certification in online course design and teaching and/or taking a la carte courses

The Sloan Consortium provides leadership and professional learning to the online learning industry in the form of synchronous and asynchronous workshops, annual conferences, and publications including a peer reviewed journal and an annual report on the state of online learning.

Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) Cooperative for Educational Technologies  e-learning  issues and topics (WCET) is a channel for connecting with peers about policies and best practices for advancing excellence in technology-enhanced teaching and learning in higher education.

Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teachng (MERLOT) offers free and open online resources designed for faculty, staff and students of higher education including learning materials and a peer reviewed journal.

Educause focuses on community building and professional development to support the transformative role that technology can play in higher education.
