Keeping Our Campus Safe
We are fortunate to have one of the safest campus communities in the country. Continued vigilance on everyone's part - faculty, staff and students - is key to helping keep our campus as safe as possible.

When you call 111, the security dispatcher can see exactly where the call is coming from and can relay that information to Hamden's emergency dispatcher. The campus security staff, the local emergency responders, police, fire, AMR (ambulance) and LifeStar all have copies of a color-coded, numbered map of the campus in every vehicle to eliminate confusion as to the location of an emergency.
Be prepared to provide the following information:
In Case of Medical Emergency
If you witness a medical emergency, call security at 111 or 203-582-6200 from a cell phone. Security officers trained in CPR, AED and first aid will respond. The Hamden Fire/Rescue and AMR ambulance also will be dispatched.
