Dr. Amy Paros PMP, DASM is an experienced academic who started with application-based industry experience, enriched through ongoing scholarship, fostered by classroom competence, and is capped with an enthusiasm for graduating capable students. Dr. Paros’ philosophy grows from a passion for knowledge exploration, connected through academic theory integrated with practical know-how, and the cultivation of compassion and diversity in the classroom. She believes that learning built upon a foundation for theory and supported with experiential opportunities is necessary for preparing students to successfully transition from college to career. Dr. Paros trusts the success of a student is available when students are welcomed, participate openly, embrace challenges, and continuously expand our knowledge. She uses this foundation to build a professional, respectful, and accountable learning environment that cultivates compassion and values diversity to foster this type of student success in the classroom.

The classroom focus, developed by Dr. Paros, is to provide students with the experience to connect their strong academic foundation with business competencies to deliver highly desired skills in the workplace. This classroom connection is fed from Dr. Paros’ scholarly passions surrounding organizational effectivity and workplace dynamics. In example of her ability to connect classroom to real work, students in Dr. Paros’ MG603 Project Management course have volunteered thousands of hours to investigate, design, and deliver full project plans for organizations, nonprofits, and business across the United States, Poland, Canada, and China.
