Understanding Alternative Investments

The Alternative Investments Institute aims to expand investors' knowledge and understanding of alternative investments, provide finance faculty with important opportunities for research and interaction with the investment world and bring cutting-edge knowledge into Quinnipiac's undergraduate and graduate classes. To support this mission the institute conducts surveys among institutional investors by partnering with Wall Street firms, publishes white papers on the issues that affect players in this field and hosts a guest lecture series.

Alternative investments refer to nontraditional investments, funds or asset classes such as hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds, derivatives, real estate and commodities.
