Foreign Lecture Series

The Foreign Lecture Series hosts notable Hungarian business people, academics and political experts. The broader objective of the program is to expose the Quinnipiac community to international issues with a special focus on Hungary and the Central European region.

 

Konrad Kreuzer

Konrad Kreuzer, chairman of the board of directors of E.ON Hungária Zrt, visited Quinnipiac in October 2010. He hosted a panel discussion on "Green Energy in the U.S., Europe and Asia." He also toured the York Hill Campus to view the green initiatives, including the campus' wind turbines. Watch the panel discussion.

Konrad Kreuzer

Konrad Kreuzer, chairman of the board of directors of E.ON Hungária Zrt, visited Quinnipiac in March 2009. He presented the lecture, "The Current Direction of Global Energy Markets: How it Will Shape Your Business and How to Manage it Well."

Zsolt Németh

Zsolt Németh is a founding member and vice president of the Fidesz Hungarian Civic Union. He has been a member of the Hungarian Parliament since 1990 and worked as secretary of state for Hungarian minority affairs. He currently leads the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Hungarian Parliament. Németh visited campus in May 2009 to deliver the lecture, "The Current State of Affairs in Hungary and Future Prospects." He also had lunch with a group of students and professors.

Business Luncheon and Round Table Discussion
Held in October 2010, this event featured Konrad Kreuzer, chairman of the board of directors of E.ON Hungária Zrt, speaking on "Business, Politics and Pipelines: European Expansion and Energy." Held in Hartford, Conn., the event was co-hosted by the Széchenyi Chair and the World Affairs Council of Connecticut.

Economic Forum on Hungary hosted by the World Affairs Council of Connecticut
Held in October 2009, the Economic Forum featured a round table discussion on business relations and investment opportunities in Hungary. Participants included representatives from Quinnipiac's MBA program and from American companies such as J.P. Morgan, Meridian Commodity Advisors, LightSources Inc., Updike, Kelly & Spellacy, P.C. and organizations including the U.S. Department of Commerce and the World Institute for Economic Research. Students from previous Quinnipiac MBA Executive Study trips also took part in the event.
