Douglas Schwartz, PhD. , Director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute, and
Assistant Director Peter Brown are available to discuss today's U.S. Senate decision on the
nomination of Justice Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court. According to a July 2 poll,
American voters supported the nomination of Sotomayor 54 - 26 percent, down slightly from the
55 - 25 percent who approved in a June 4 poll.
