Master of Science in Organizational Leadership
The 33-credit master of science in organizational leadership’s curriculum is designed to foster graduate-level growth and development in six areas essential to leadership:
  • Self-awareness and growth
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ethics of leadership
  • Understanding, interpreting and using data to improve performance
  • Understanding and leading organizations and complex teams
  • Strategic analysis and implementation

The program is writing intensive, building on the University's emphasis on effective writing. This emphasis is consistent with expectations consistently voiced by business leaders.

Program design features include:

  • Flexible scheduling for working adults
  • Convenient seven-week academic terms
  • Course delivery that is either online only or in a “blended” format, which combines online learning with three half-day Saturday on-campus meetings per term
  • Academic and personal support services
  • Engaging educational experience that includes real-world examples
  • Faculty team with extensive industry experience
  • Instructors who provide the personalized attention needed for a meaningful learning environment

Students may choose from one of our three professional focus tracks—strategic leadership, public service/nonprofit leadership and human resource leadership--which build on the core courses and provides expertise for those seeking to enhance their leadership skills in those fields.

In partnership with AICPCU/IIA, the School of Business will award up to three credits toward a master of science in organizational leadership or up to nine credits toward a master of business administration.
