March 15, 2013 - Business New Haven has named Bruce Koeppen, founding dean of the School of Medicine, among its roster of 2012-2013 Healthcare Heroes.

The honor was presented by Business New Haven and New Haven magazine during a March 14 dinner at Amarante's in New Haven. Koeppen was selected for his leadership spearheading the initiative to open a medical school at Quinnipiac that will help address the nation's shortage of primary care physicians. Since being hired in 2010, Koeppen has successfully led the process for the school to receive initial accreditation and begin enrolling students in Fall 2013.
